CLAIM THE COVENANT
Or Wake up the mighty men
Revival Days Report No 3
November 2011

Is there an end-time alert from God for His saints from the prophet Joel? Nations have risen up to oppose God and His people with an antichrist spirit. God will gather them to battle. Is God calling the weak to be made strong, to have an overcoming spirit? (Joel 3: 9-14)

Can the Lord strengthen His people, even the sick, oppressed and downcast to be like David's army in the wilderness of Judea, who were in distress, in debt and discontented? (I Sam 22:2)

Jean Darnall had this picture for the remnant church, that many were like David's army in waiting. waiting for their chance to change things... to rule. She had prophecies of a great end time revival for UK and Europe to affect the world. [Heaven Here I Come - Lakeland (1974)]

As with David, we have covenant roots here in the UK. A sovereign who took a Coronation oath. Covenanters and holy men who laid down their lives for God in former days. Puritans and reformers that made monarchs tremble. Revivalists who saw 25% of the UK converted in the days of Wesley and Whitfield.

David was anointed by Samuel to be a king. Later he received the Davidic covenant that ensured dominion for his seed - now those who are in Christ. The Sure Mercies of David are for all who thirst for righteousness, who hear and obey God. It makes us kings and priests. (2 Samuel 7, Isa 55 v3, Acts 13, Rev 1:6)

The hymn writer wrote, 'The feeblest saint shall win the day, though death and hell obstruct the way.' (Isaac Watts: 'Join all the glorious names')

Strength for the weak, power to those who have no might... this is the promise to those who wait on God. (Isaiah 40.) And the comfort for God's afflicted people was the bringing in of the New Covenant through our Lord Jesus. (Acts 3:25)

Is it time to claim anew the benefits of the New Covenant?

Will God give a new overcoming spirit for the end time battle? The most feeble to be like David. Zech 12:8 .And from where did David get his strength? From Christ his root. And we are grafted into that root. Romans 11.:17

Jean Darnall's prophetic word was of a sudden awakening at God's sovereign time. Flickering lights of renewed saints would become a moving stream of fire, like lava – once the lightning from heaven had come.

A faithful, praying band of overcomers would prepare the way. Like John the Baptist and Elijah we can be messengers of the covenant to go before the Lord.
