Revival, in the midst of present worldwide troubles, is the hope of God's people. (Habakkuk 3: 1-2)
The Lord has said that He would arise to shake the earth (Isaiah 2: 10-22), and indeed all things, so that only His kingdom would remain. (Haggai 2: 6-7) (Hebrews 12: 26-29)
This seems to be relating to the end times, to His coming again, and to the dawning of His millennium reign.
The signs of the end are with us as we look at Jesus' words in the gospels of Matthew chapter 24, Mark chapter 13 and Luke chapter 21.
Jean Darnall, and other prophetic voices, have spoken of a 'shining hour' of blessing and revival for God's people, even in difficult times, to bring in a last, great harvest of souls. It would come suddenly as lightning, even in a midnight hour.
God has sworn to bless His people and raise them up to display His glory in the earth. (Isaiah 60-61)
"For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)
Jesus bids us not to fear but to lift up our heads and rejoice, for the coming of the Lord draws nigh. (Luke 21:28)
Let us pray with the prophet, "...O Lord, revive Thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known, in wrath, remember mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2)
